What was the best part of filming at Skywalker?
Probably when producer Rick McCallum drove up and was watching us film scenes. We had fun chatting with him. And then he agreed to be in a scene just for fun, which will probably be on the DVD. Just walking around the property was great.
When the cast filmed at Skywalker Ranch, they had to shoot multiple takes of the glorious Star Wars decorated van up and down Lucas Valley Road. Because the van stands out (R2-D2 dome on roof) the local police followed them around to make sure they weren’t crazy fans trying to break into Skywalker Ranch. Ironic, no?

quelqu'un aurait une idée du prix moyen d'une place de cinéma aux USA en $?
si c'est > à 10$ ça donnerais moins de 16400 entrées
mais je peu pas vraiment exploiter ce chiffre

Today in the following markets on 44 Screens... FANBOYS opens theatrically. The odds are against the film. That's not many screens, it doesn't have a big national push. Seth Rogen isn't doing the TODAY SHOW to sell it, he won't be on CONAN or LENO or LETTERMEN or THE VIEW or any of the other shows. This is a quiet roll-out. We could bitch that it isn't on enough screens... or we could remember that almost 32 years ago, the original STAR WARS opened on May 25th, 1977 on only 32 screens.
FANBOYS expands (again!) into it's largest release yet, adding 11 new cities for the weekend of February 27th! In total FANBOYS will be showing in 24 cities on 46 screens.
The new regions include: Minneapolis, Baltimore, Miami, Pittsburgh, Orlando, Indianapolis, Kansas City, Providence RI, Greensboro NC, Memphis and Cleveland.
You can see the FANBOYS trailer and find show times (via the downloadable widget) at fanboys-themovie.com. Fanboys features Kristen Bell, Seth Rogen and William Shatner!
Director Kyle Newman sent over details on the upcoming DVD release of Fanboys! See below...
FANBOYS comes to DVD on May 19th from Genius Products and The Weinstein Company.
Driven by passion, friendship and the power of the Force, four buddies hit the road in search of a galaxy far, far away in FANBOYS ... A raucous road trip comedy fueled by heart and an untainted love of the greatest movie saga of all time, FANBOYS follows a group of Star Wars fans as they hilariously attempt the impossible. Their mad plan: to break into George Lucas' Skywalker Ranch to see Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace a full six months before its worldwide release.
The FANBOYS DVD is priced at $19.97 and comes loaded with Special Features including:
- Deleted Scenes
- Commentary with the Cast & Crew
- The Truth about Fanboys
- Star Wars Parallel
- Four Fanboys & One Fangirl
- The Choreography
- Disturbances in the Force: A Series of Webisodes
"Fanboys is still gong strong nine weeks into our limited theatrical run, and heading into international markets, but I am truly excited because now every fan will finally have the opportunity to see the film. It's a perfect release date because May 19th is also the 10 year anniversary of The Phantom Menace!"
FANBOYS stars Sam Huntington (Superman Returns), Chris Marquette (The Girl Next Door), Dan Fogler (Balls of Fury), Jay Baruchel (Knocked Up) and Kristen Bell (Forgetting Sarah Marshall), and features cameos from Star Wars alums Carrie Fisher, Billy Dee Williams and Ray Park, along with Seth Rogen, Danny McBride, Kevin Smith, Jason Mewes, Danny Trejo, Christopher MacDonald, Jamie King, Will Forte, Craig Robinson, Ethan Suplee and William Shatner!
