Soirée spéciale Star Wars et avant-première d'Hyperspace Moutain

On en avait parlé ici, Disneyland Paris a proposé deux soirées exclusives dédiées à Star Wars dans le Parc Walt Disney Studios. En paralèlle il y avait la possibilité de tester, avant l'ouverture officielle, la nouvelle attraction Star Wars Hyperspace Moutain.

Il est grand temps de revenir sur cette soirée via un petit compte-rendu et un reportage photo !

Tout d'abord on commence par la pas vraiment nouvelle attraction ...

Comme vous pouvez le voir sur les photos, l'extérieur n'a pas été modifié ! Il s'agit plus d'un lifting d'attraction avec une nouvelle thématique qu'une nouvelle attraction.

Concrètement la file d'attente est assez décevante, avec quelques posters Star Wars mais on ressent un certain vide et cela aurait clairement mérité un peu plus d'investissement... On retrouve les éléments Steam Punk de Space Moutain avec par exemple les nouveaux wagons : ces derniers ont le mérite d'être beaucoup plus confortables, avec un nouveau système audio embarqué ainsi qu'un système de harnais qui s'adapte à votre taille ! 
 
Le parcours, quant à lui, reste le même ! Seuls la musique et le décor du parcours ont été modifiés. Le canon sert à vous propulser en vitesse lumière et vous vous retrouvez en plein milieu d'une bataille spatiale. Des écrans et des effets de laser ont été rajoutés et vous donnent la sensation de vous battre contre des tie fighter et même d'affronter un Destroyer Stellaire !
Durant ce combat, vous êtes guidé par l'Amiral Ackbar lui-même !

Au final, un nouveau ride intéressant principalement grâce au confort accru et à l'environnement sonore Star Wars qui vous permettront une immersion complète durant le parcours ! On aurait néanmoins souhaité un peu plus d'investissement au niveau de la file d'attente mais il y a fort à parier que cette version de l'attraction est temporaire ...

Path of the Jedi
 
Le concept ici est un film de 10 minutes, regroupant plusieurs scènes imbriquées dans un certain ordre afin de faire découvrir Star Wars à un public non connaisseur.

Même si on est content de retrouver Star Wars sur grand écran et qu'on apprécie de voir des scènes de toutes les trilogies, ce spectacle est un peu décevant quand on connait les capacités de la salle !
 
A titre personnel, j'aurai préféré un visionnage animé des bandes-annonces des prochains films, comme cela avait été fait pour certains Marvel à l'époque !

Après ce spectacle, plusieurs vrilles et loopings plus tard, il est donc temps de rejoindre le Parc Walt Disney Studios pour la fameuse ...

Dès l'entrée, on est accueilli par d'étranges créatures pour aller vers le coeur de la soirée ! Un programme spécial est ainsi disponible pour nous guider à travers les festivités de la nuit ...
 
 
Comme prévu on retrouve :
  • la possibilité de se faire maquiller,
  • les fameuses rencontres avec les personnages : Chewbacca et Dark Vador,
  • des créatures étranges et exotiques pour nous animer le parc.
Le parc propose aussi des photolocations inédites. Plusieurs scènes célèbres de la saga sont ainsi disponibles pour se faire prendre en photo !
 
Cela va du décor statique à un décor plus actif avec le décor carbonite !
 
Les animations créées pour la Saison de la Force sont de retour :
 
  • La patrouille des Stormtroopers,
  • La Marche du Premier Order,
  • Star Wars : La Célébration Galactique,
La grosse nouveauté de la soirée est menée de main de maître par la 501st French Garrison, convoquée pour l'occasion !

On continue donc cette année du 25ème anniversaire de DisneyLand Paris avec la validation d'une zone consacrée à Star Wars - même si on ne peut pas encore parler de Land Star Wars, cela laisse présager du meilleur pour la suite !

    Suite à la présentation de la maquette détaillée des "Star Wars Lands" à la Convention D23 Expo qui se déroule en ce moment au Centre des Congrès d'Anaheim, Mike Celestino (Inside the Magic) a capturé les commentaires de l'Imagineer Scott Trowbridge, celui-ci est en charge depuis 2014 du projet "Star Wars" pour les resorts Disney d'Anaheim et d'Orlando :

    Des nouvelles en provenance de la convention D23 à Anaheim où le panel consacré à la division Parks and Resorts s'est achevé :

    Le nom officiel des Star Wars lands en cours de construction à Disneyland Park à Anaheim et à Disney's Hollywood Studios Park à Orlando a été révélé : Star Wars : Galaxy's Edge !

    Les deux lands seront très similaires et promettent une interactivité encore jamais rencontrée dans un parc à thème.

    Des détails seront progressivement dévoilés d'ici au printemps 2019.

    De nouvelles images conceptuelles des deux attractions présentes dès l'ouverture en 2019 ont été dévoilées :

    Bob Chapek, président de Walt Disney Parks and Resorts, a également confirmé la réalisation du projet d'hôtel thématique Star Wars qui permettra de vivre une expérience des plus immersive à Walt Disney World Resort en Floride (voir mon message page précédente).

    Là encore, le concept de séjour est révolutionnaire, intégrant totalement le visiteur dans l'Univers Star Wars et lui donnant l'occasion de faire partie de l'Histoire et de la vivre à chaque instant de son séjour comme dans un gigantesque jeu de rôle ! (le concept serait poussé jusqu'à se vêtir en conformité avec son personnage!).

    Je sais déjà où je passerai mes vacances en 2019/2020 :)

    ... un hotel ou on peux croiser Ahsoka?!......bon sang, ou est mon passeport??!.....comment ça faut pas prendre le concept au pied de la lettre....?

    En tout cas, tout comme il ont pus le faire pour le parc Harry Potter, ou plus récemment Avatar, les parcs a theme de nos jours sont de plus en plus poussés, immersifs, et je sais pas pour la qualité des attractions, mais visuellemnet c'est tout simplement génialissime :) :lol:
    ...si en plus il se mette aux hôtels...nan mais regarder moi ces concept arts....c'est un hôtel ou tout les jours, aux heures de départs, on va voir des enfants (et ptete même des parents) s'accrocher au pieds de tables en hurlant "Naaaaaaannnn....je veux terminer ma vie ici, laisser moiiii!!!" :paf: :D

    Nous en apprendrons un petit peu plus le 16 décembre prochain au sujet de Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, la future zone des parcs Disneyland à Anaheim et Disney's Hollywood Studios à Orlando qui sera entièrement dédiée à la franchise Star Wars.

    En effet, ce jour là est programmé un panel de discussion nommé Inside the Saga : A Galaxy in the Making au cours duquel de nouveaux détails seront communiqués.

    Ce panel fait partie du programme de l'édition 2017 de la soirée Star Wars : Galactic Nights qui se déroulera de 19h00 à minuit dans le parc Disney’s Hollywood Studios de Walt Disney World Resort.

    Pour ceux de passage en Floride qui souhaiteraient participer à l'événement, les billets d'entrée ont été mis en vente au prix de USD 137.39 (taxes de vente incluses).

    Les reporters du quotidien californien The Orange County Register ont pu consulter auprès des services de la ville d'Anaheim le dessin de définition (blueprint) du land immersif Star Wars Galaxy's Edge actuellement en construction à Disneyland Park à Anaheim, Californie. De légères modifications peuvent avoir eu lieu depuis le dépôt des documents au service municipal délivrant les permis de bâtir et la réalisation finale de ces plans, mais cela donne une bonne idée de ce qui nous attend à Batuu.

    We saw the blueprints for Disneyland’s Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and this is what they show

    The visitors who enter Disneyland’s Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge after it opens in 2019 will step into the most intricate and immersive environment the park has ever created, with lush trees, exotic buildings, a land speeder garage, a droid shop and even a version of the Mos Eisley cantina, according to building plans Disney has filed with the city of Anaheim.

    The “Star Wars”-themed land, the largest single themed land ever built at the Anaheim park, will take up a 14-acre swath of land in the northern part of Frontierland. The blueprints detailing what will be in the land – and where – are arguably the most important plans for fans of the franchise since those for the Death Star.

    Here’s what they reveal :

    •Guests coming in from Fantasyland will first see a First Order performance stage and other props. Those entering from the west side see a verdant forest, a Jedi star ship and other props from the Resistance movement.

    •As park-goers work their way toward the middle of the area, they could walk inside a cantina – similar to the Mos Eisley from the films – and order a soft drink from a bartender manning a U-shaped bar and sit down in booths, and table tops while listening to an audio-animatronic DJ or band on a stage.

    •And in the large ride that will anchor Galaxy’s Edge, new villain Kylo Ren could make an appearance.

    Construction for Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is well underway. A model of the land was unveiled at Disney’s biennial fan convention, the D23 Expo, in July, but the blueprints shed more light on the project’s size and scope. Disney is also building Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Hollywood Studios in Florida’s Walt Disney World. It’s unclear how similar the two lands will be.

    Disney officials on Friday, Nov. 17, revealed that the concept of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is to place guests at a trading post on the planet Batuu.

    “Once a busy crossroads along the old sub-lightspeed trade routes, but its prominence was bypassed by the rise of hyperspace travel,” said Scott Trowbridge, portfolio creative executive at Walt Disney Imagineering on Disneys official parks blog. “Now home to those who prefer to stay out of the mainstream, it has become a thriving port for smugglers, rogue traders and adventurers traveling between the frontier and uncharted space.

    “It’s also a convenient safe haven for those intent on avoiding the expanding reach of the First Order,” he added.

    Galaxy’s Edge will feature two main rides – one that allows visitors to pilot the Millennium Falcon and another unnamed that pits them in the middle of a battle between the First Order and the Resistance.

    The blueprints provide more details, from the types of trees that will be planted in the Resistance Forest, the stones used for the building structures, the design of the sewer caps, to the restrooms and areas dedicated for stroller parking.

    City officials said like any development, the blueprints are not set in stone. Disney could modify the submitted plans anytime.

    A Disneyland spokesman did not provide any additional details on plans for the land.

    With the eighth installment of the Star Wars space opera franchise set to be released in mid-December, here are eight things that can be gleaned from the public plans filed by Disney.

    1. Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge land layout

    Disney officials and the model have previously revealed this but the blueprints lay out exactly how Star Wars land area will be configured. Galaxy’s Edge is split into two sides with a hub or conflict zone in the middle. The Resistance or Rebels are on the west side of the land lined with hundreds of lush trees and forest. The First Order appears to have a performance stage and other props on the east side. The Millennium Falcon and the second, unnamed ride occupy much of the north side of the land, while the middle serves as the trading port’s hub with a merchant area and marketplace.

    2. The First Order ride

    The building bears the code name “Alcatraz” in documents. It is a massive structure that nearly takes up nearly a quarter of Galaxy’s Edge. The plans reveal that inside, visitors will hop aboard an eight-person ride vehicle piloted by an astromech droid. Visitors will weave through projection scenes depicting a major space battle, elaborate props such as AT ATs, gunners, and a possible encounter with Kylo Ren (nicknamed Kylo-Vator in plans) before leaving in an escape pod. There are 18 scenes in total.

    3. Flying the Falcon

    Dubbed “Big Bird” in plans, the Millennium Falcon is 100-feet across. Inside, the ride has a pre-show room before guests go into one of what appear to be four turntable rooms. Pictures previously released by Disney show six passengers boarding a ship that allows them to pilot the fastest hunk of junk in the galaxy. Trowbridge, the Disney Imagineer, has previously said If a visitor does a good job flying the ship, that person will receive some kind of galactic credit. If a guest leaves the ship banged up, a bounty might be placed on the visitor’s head.

    4. Cantina

    This is your chance to stare down some aliens, negotiate a bounty or perhaps drink blue milk. Located directly across from the Millennium Falcon ride, the plan for the Cantina is nearly similar to the Mos Eisley in the movies. According to plans, the cantina will feature a U-shaped bar, booths, and tables. A stage will feature audio-animatronic performs, perhaps the Rex droid as the DJ as Disney officials previously announced.

    5. Merchants’ Row

    One of the features of the trading post is merchants’ row. One store that stands out was labeled “Saber.” Will there be a shop selling specifically Light Sabers? Plans for the building show six-story-high rocky spires fronting a one-story retail building with interior space about half the size of a football field. All the store fixtures will be themed to look like aged and distressed metal.

    6. Droids

    Disney executives have already hinted that droids will populate the land. They’ve been testing a J4KE or Jake Droid the past year at Disneyland. According to the plans, droids dominate the area. Droid charging stations will be located throughout the land and there also will be a droid mechanic shop.

    7. Landspeeder garage

    Remember Luke Skywalker floating around in a land speeder? There’s an area in Star Wars land, outside of a restaurant, that’s marked “land speeder garage,” with props of various parked space crafts.

    8. The Restaurant

    Documents reveal that there appears to be one large sit-down and table service restaurant. The restaurant – yet to be named or themed – appears in the middle of the land. Based on plans, it appears to be larger than the Blue Bayou restaurant in Disneyland’s Pirates of the Caribbean ride.
